Bundoran Surf CO. are running an ASI level 2 coaching course at Surf Co on June 25/26th. The course is aimed at surf instructors who are compentent surfers and have held the Level 1 instructor course for at least 1 year. The course costs €330(may be less depending on numbers) and is run by Joel Gray from Surf Solutions. Joel is one of Europe’s top surfing coaches. The course will provide successful candidates with the knowledge, skills and confidence to instruct from beginner to advanced surfing classes.

Entry requirements
Before enrolling, you must have:
■Advanced level or above surfing skill and knowledge
■Current Level 1 Surfing Instructor accreditation
■Minimum of 12 months recent continuous accredited surfing instruction experience

■Minimum of 12 months membership
Course requirements
■Complete Assessment Record Book and return to ASI for assessment
■complete written assessments
■demonstrate a minimum of advanced surfing skill: different manoeuvres: one each from roundhouse cut-back, floater, snap, vertical re-entry or tube.
■demonstrate lesson delivery
■Complete 25 hours practical experience assisting in delivering advanced level surfing sessons – with an ASI accredited or approved surf school and have log book signed by supervising instructor.
Additional certification required
Provide copy of your:
■current surf rescue certificate
■senior first aid certificate.You can complete these after enrolling but must be completed to obtain your ASI qualification.
Qualification
ASI Level 2 Surfing Coach
and (as applicable) Australian Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) Statement of Attainment in Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation (SIS40310).
